It's not realistic to think you'll always get along with your mother, but even through those times, you still love her. I've had lots of ups and downs with my mother, like anyone i believe, but through the good and the bad, i've loved you, and i will always do.She made me laugh, wiped my tears, hugged me tight, watched me succeed, seen me fail, cheered me up and kept me going strong. She's the closest person in anyone's life, a mother knows her child inside / out. Even through the worst, I knew that when i felt down, at the bottom of it, by just showing her i wasn't okay she would do anything in the world to cheer me up, gave the best advices. She would leave the world behind just to see me happy and smiling, this I know.
I will not deny it, there were times when i'd listen to my mother and do the complete opposite, and learn the lesson after. I didn't always agree I was wrong, yes we all pride so I would never say, just so that I don't hear the "I told you so" which you never said but eventually when i grew, I started sharing with you the times when i wouldn't follow your advice and tell you how you were ALWAYS right !! You are still ALWAYS right.. It's crazy, how do you do it !!!
As the say, 'there's a story behind everything.. How a picture got on a wall, how a scar got on your face. Sometimes the stories are simple and sometimes they are hard and heartbreaking, but behind all YOUR stories is always YOUR MOTHER's, because hers is where yours begins..'
I wouldn't be here without you today, I wouldn't be the woman I am today if it weren't for you, i'm grateful and you should know, i thank God everyday for having you as my mother, I probably don't show it that often, but i do, i'm grateful to have you and I have no idea what I would have done and how I would have went through all what I went through if you weren't standing right there next to me. For being the best mother I thank you..
Here are 22 reasons why I love you Mom since 22 years ago it was your birthday and you had me in your arms, it was my first year, one for each year of my life:
1. You are the most beautiful woman, inside and outside.
2. You correct me but never criticize.
3. You fed me healthy food all the way =) For the fact I don't drink pepsi or anything like it today, that is your work!
4. You made all sorts of sacrifices for me
5. You never relied on other people for your happiness, you always know how to make yourself happy and the people around you.
6. You gave me an appreciation for classical music and arts, as much as i hated museums when i was a kid, today i appreciate them, and i don't think that would have been the case if it wasn't for you.
7. The way you love everyone, how you want to help everyone and you actually try your best to.
8. Because whatever I am today, whatever I have achieved and will still achieve, I owe it to you because you have taught me well.

10. How you are so dedicated, I still remember in school all the field trips you organized.
11. Wherever I am, at college, just having coffee with my friends or at an event all you've taught me still springs out from deep within me.
12. I know who I am today is a pool of past experiences but without a mother guiding you as you go through life, my paths would have been different. I just hope today you are proud of me, proud of what you made :)

19. I love you because of what you are doing right now, keep wanting me to stop writing what you don't know i'm writing to watch the 'octopus' on TV or to see the super phone that you put i don't know where and it does i don't know what haha.

Maman, I am grateful for every minute i spend with you, you are my teacher, my advisor, my greatest inspiration. I realize today that as you watched me grow a lot of your years slipped away, but i think that's how it is when you have a kid. It's all out of pure love, selflessness and sacrifice. I LOVE YOU, you are the best !
